Marie-Therese

Make-up has always been my absolute passion & I am very fortunate to have been able to turn my passion into my career. I love being able to create so many different looks just with the touch of a make-up brush and some creativity. It gives me great delight to transform people into the look they want me to create, or to just enhance their own natural beauty.

I trained to be a professional make-up artist in the prestigious LA Make-Up Academy (studying everything from Bridal right through to High Fashion/TV and Film/ Photographic and Special Effects). I was also a tutor at this Academy. 

I regularly work with TV3 on shows such as Ireland AM, The Morning Show with Sybil and Martin, Midday and Xpose to name but a few. I am also the Head Make-up Artist and Brand Manager in Ireland for Elysambre Natural Make-Up (all organic and mineral make-up). I work with many award-winning photographers on a regular basis as well as doing hair and fashion shows (e.g. for Matrix/L’Oreal/Wella).

My work has often been published in editorials and magazines - such as cover shoots for Hot Press Magazine, TV Now and The RTE Guide.

I also specialise in Bridal & Wedding Makeovers and I am currently taking bookings as far ahead as 2013, however I have a few dates available for 2011. I adore being part of a Bride’s very special day and ensuring her natural beauty shines through and that when she meets her husband-to-be she feels a million dollars.

My attention to detail and my perfectionism ensures that any client of mine leaves me feeling wonderful and ready to take on the world!

I only use high quality products to ensure that your make-up application lasts from the morning right through to the wee hours of the night!! I have products to cater for all skin types, even for the most sensitive of skins.

A bride’s wedding day is one of the most (if not THE most) important day of her life.

So much preparation has gone into this day – from choosing the wedding dress to organising the venue, guests, honeymoon etc. Marie-Therese is here to ensure the morning of your wedding is as stress-free and as relaxed as possible and that they have their dream look for their wedding and for any wedding photography throughout the day and night .
I would recommend doing a Bridal Trial at least 6 weeks before the wedding . During the consultation we can discuss your skin preparation, the overall theme and colour-scheme (from the style and colour of your dress and your bridesmaids to the flowers and venue). This ensures that you are as calm and relaxed on the morning of your wedding. Bridesmaid/Mother of the Bride trials may also be arranged at your convenience.

I love to work very closely with the bride so that during the bridal consultation we can choose the ideal make-up products and a timeless look to suit the bride’s personality and taste.

On the morning of your wedding, I will come to your home or to the venue of your choice at a pre-arranged time so that the Bride (and Bridal party if wished) can be as relaxed as possible and enjoy the pampering and make-up application(s). I can stay at the venue and do final touch-ups when the Bride is looking divine and ready to leave to meet her Husband-to-Be.

Bridal packages including Bride plus Bridesmaids/Mother of the Bride/Mother of the Groom/Flower-girls are also available.
 

*** EVENING MAKE-UP SERVICE ***

An Evening Make-up Service is also available if you want to change your Wedding Day make-up into an Evening Look or to just freshen up. This service can also be available for wedding guests. If this service is required, please request this at the time of the initial booking (preferred) or before the Big Day.

Marie-Therese has regularly worked in TV3 and 3E on shows such as Ireland AM, The Morning Show with Sybil & Martin, Midday, Xpose, Midweek , Europa League and FYI to name but a few.

Her work has regularly been published in magazines and other forms of print media with cover shoots in publications such as Hot Press, TV Guide and TV Now. She has also worked with Samsung for online commercials such as for Samsung Tocco and regularly does marketing and PR campaigns such as for politicians publicity campaigns (e.g. Sean Haughey of Fianna Fail).

Make up for your Special Occasion

Each make-up application lasts between 45-50 minutes (for a regular or smokey-eyed look with false lashes, but this could be a bit longer should you require a really detailed dramatic look - such as a theatrical look or Diamonte crystals etc.!!).

Such a service would be perfect for any special occasion such as Debs, Christenings, Graduations, Birthdays, Make-up parties, Teenage parties, Wedding parties etc. Individual or strip false lashes (even fantasy on request) can be applied.

Personalised Make-Up Lessons

I do personalised make-up lessons or parties which are great fun and very practical - many Hen parties or girlie get-togethers have booked me to teach them before they go out all glammed up for a night on the tiles and they are always fantastic craic. Here, I recommend that you bring along your make-up bag so that I can go through it and advise on what you do or do not need; I will teach you step-by-step guideline on how to create your desired look, from preparing your skin, to choosing colours and recommending products.

At the end of each lesson you will get a customised face chart so you can go home and re-create this look at any time.

One-to-one lesson

I do one half of your face and you do the other - so that you know exactly how to do your make-up look (approx. 90 minutes)

Double lesson (2 people)

same as a one-to-one wherein I do one half of each of your faces' - one of you would watch each time, thus giving you more time to learn all the make-up tricks (this would last 3 hours)

3 or more people

I will ask one of you to very kindly volunteer as a model (you will be given a mirror to hold so you too will be able to learn) and I will do a make-up demonstration showing all of you all the make-up techniques you may need, then you will all try to replicate this on yourselves whilst I go around each of you giving you help whenever you need it.

Individual or group lessons are also available for teenagers.
